摘要: Quality control is an indispensable part of quality assurance in any study, intending to ensure high standards during data acquisition. The aim this paper describe the measures undertaken German EPIC study centers and present selected results these procedures (EPIC = European Prospective Investigation into Cancer Nutrition). For all assessment tools applied were developed monitor both personnel as well technical instruments. These combined quantitative qualitative measurements control. Interviewer performance was evaluated through direct observation rated according evaluation score. Blood pressure anthropometric controlled measurement periodical devices. sampling directly monitored subsequent handling probes tightly recorded, including information on time sequence work-up room temperature. With diverse obtained rating a broad pool has been made available support critical Heidelberg Potsdam.
