摘要: Several classes of interneurons in the optic lobes and brain insects, Musca domestica Calliphora phaenicia, have been studied detail. Visual stimuli categorized on basis properties intensity, form, motion. Response characteristics neural units are described with respect to these three visual stimuli. While those that detect motion select directions a tonic response, form detection phasic response only. Through correlation responses stimuli, it is shown integrate other which very small fields. The small-field presumed output group adjacent retinula cells respond differentially It both independent direction pattern intensity gradation. As consequence this independence, further failure properly must start at spatial wavelength four times effective sampling station spacing rather than twice as has predicted previously.
