摘要: Critics have long charged that the National Park Service manages parks to make them look good visitors--a strategy can lead very different decisions from those ecology might dictate. Now a new program aims bolster science underlying park management, but it will require culture change among agency leaders, who by and large come ranks of rangers rather than natural resource managers. The goal program, Natural Resource Challenge, which is just getting under way, gather enough data enable managers anticipate problems lurch crisis crisis.
