摘要: The surface plasmon resonance peaks of gold nanostructures can be tuned from the visible to near infrared region by controlling shape and structure (solid vs. hollow). In this tutorial review we highlight concept comparing four typical examples: nanospheres, nanorods, nanoshells, nanocages. A combination optical tunability with inertness makes well suited for various biomedical applications.
