摘要: Determining the epithelium's contribution to corneal biomechanics is important for predictive numerical simulation of biomechanical behaviour in which cornea's five main layers are represented separately. Twenty-four buttons were tested under posterior inflation conditions while monitoring their using non-contact methods. The corneas divided into two groups 12; one with and without epithelium. Control specimen hydration, temperature pressure application rate, limiting programme specimens within a small age range resulted narrow scatter test results. On average, intact able carry slightly more at same deformation, experienced less average stress strain, compared These results indicated that stiffness epithelium was considerably lower than stroma, might therefore be ignored studies.
