摘要: Biomechanics is often defined as 'mechanics applied to biology'. Due the variety and complexity of behaviour biological structures materials, biomechanics better development, extension application mechanics for a understanding physiology physiopathology consequently diagnosis treatment disease injury. Different methods characterisation corneal are reviewed in detail, including those that currently commercially available (Ocular Response Analyzer CorVis ST). The clinical applicability parameters provided by these devices discussed, especially fields glaucoma, detection ectatic disorders orthokeratology. Likewise, other also reviewed, such Brillouin microscopy or dynamic optical coherence tomography others with potential practice but not validated vivo measurements, ultrasonic elastography. Advantages disadvantages all techniques described. Finally, concept biomechanical modelling revised well requirements developing models, special emphasis on finite element modelling.
