摘要: In order to describe in a quantitative way the phenomena discussed previous chapter, we need be able calculate or measure required cross sections rate constants. To begin discussion, divide collisions into two classes: elastic (scattering) during which particles interact (collide) with each other but only their directions of motion and speeds change, inelastic both internal energies are changed. Table 2.1 given examples will consider this text. Although clearly more interesting, start by discussing experiments determine whether not particle was deflected.
