The calculation of recombination frequencies in crosses of allogamous plant species with applications to linkage mapping

摘要: The recombination frequency (r) between two loci defined by conventional or molecular markers can be estimated solving proper Maximum Likelihood equations. These are based on expected and observed marker class frequencies in the progeny of a cross, specific for each allelic configuration parents(1). In cross diploid parents up to four different alleles, besides null allele, detected at one locus. This defines parent, considering locus A, nine basic configurations fragments(Ai/Aj), single allele (Ai/AO), just alleles (AO/AO). With respect consideration all possible allows detection 21 distributions producing estimates r progeny. General formulas calculating ML equations corresponding information functions have been developed distributions. Simplified also derived relative efficiency compared. As expected, majority cases, give more precise linkage values than configurations. A method construction maps point estimates, subgroups bridges is presented. an improvementon original proposal Ritter et al.(1990).
