摘要: To the Editor. —The article1and Editorial2regarding "The Learning Curve" raises an issue with which all physicians and institutions are wrestling. However, there is even more vexing concern out there. Namely, for many complex (and not so complex) procedures learned in past, how need to be successfully done over what period of time maintain skills credentialing? Should it "once credentialed, always credentialed"? This other side "learning curve"—the "retention curve"—and may prove tougher nut crack!
