摘要: Background: Idiopathic hypercalciuria (IHC) can be one of the causes nocturnal enuresis (NE) and hydrochlorothiazide (HCT) ameliorates hypercalciuria. Objectives: The aim this study was to assess therapeutic efficacy HCT in boys with primary monosymptomatic NE (PMNE). Patients Methods: This a randomized double-blind placebo-controlled clinical trial. A hundred PMNE IHC were randomly assigned into two groups experimental (treated 1 mg/kg/day) control all patients followed for 4 months number wet-night episodes. Results: mean numbers episodes first (intervention: 8.34 ± 8.54, control: 9.1 9.3, P = 0.3), second (7.1 7.3, 7.9 8.1, 0.4), third (7.8 8, 0.1) fourth (4.9 5.1, 5.9 6, 0.3) not significantly different between groups. However, decrease average during treatment intervention group (P 0.019) unlike group. Not more significant compared 0.191). All who treated by became normocalciuric. 21 dose increased 2 mg/kg/day. Conclusions: Single daily is safe effective option children IHC.
