摘要: We review the early development of metapopulation ideas, which culminated in well-known model by Levins 1969. present a survey terminology and outline kinds studies that have been conducted on single-species multispecies metapopulations. Metapopulation important conceptual links with equilibrium theory island biogeography dynamics species living patchy environments. ideas play an increasingly role landscape ecology conservation biology.
