摘要: Abstract The St. Jude Medical cardiac valve is a low-profile, bileaflet, central-flow prosthesis made entirely of pyrolytic carbon. A total 261 valves were implanted in 253 patients during 25-month period. Perioperative mortality for the entire series was 9.1%, including undergoing reoperation disease and those having associated procedures. There four nonfatal thromboembolic episodes follow-up period, resulting risk thromboembolism aortic mitral 2.1% per patient year, respectively. no instances structural failure valve, valve-related hemolysis occurred. Two-year actuarial survival 95%. Hemodynamic studies indicate that has lowest transvalvular pressure gradient any prosthetic mechanical available, we believe it choice whom indicated.
