摘要: In this paper, the correlation between shear wave velocity and standard penetration test blow counts (SPT-N) is investigated. The study focused primarily on of SPT-N (Vs) for several soil categories: all soils, sand, silt clay-type soils. New empirical formulae are suggested to correlate Vs, based a dataset collected in part Eskisehir settlement western central Anatolia region Turkey. geotechnical soundings active passive seismic experiments. new previously showing correlations uncorrected Vs have been compared evaluated by using same dataset. results suggest that better estimation acquired when used. count major parameter type has no significant influence results. cohesive plasticity contents and, non-cohesive soils except gravels, graded effect Vs. support most conclusions earlier studies. These practical relationships developed should be used with caution engineering checked against measured
