摘要: Abstract Better understanding of gunshot residues and the major elemental composition would be valuable to forensic scientists for their analysis work interpretation results. In present work, effective atomic numbers (cartridge case, bullet core, jacket gunpowder) were analyzed using energy dispersive X-ray (EDX). The scattering 59.54 keV gamma rays is studied a high-resolution HPGe detector. experiment performed on various elements with number in 4≤ Z ≤82. intensity ratio coherent Compton scattered peaks, corrected photo-peak efficiency detector absorption photons sample air, plotted as function constituted best-fit-curve. From this fit-curve, respective are determined.
