摘要: Abstract This paper reports a finite element study of effect volume fraction SiC and diameter the fiber on interfacial stress/strain characteristics 6061 Al/SiC metal matrix composites. The tensile behaviour composite is simulated by using method. To simulate composite, unit cell model developed in ANSYS 5.4 appropriate boundary conditions were applied model. An attempt made to influence stress transfer from fiber. In analysis, it found that plays an important role debonding results show more pronounced near axis symmetry. initiated purely shear maximum occurs just inside at some distance free end propagate as load increases.
