摘要: Abstract One of the ways to improve mechanical properties Aluminum alloys is by dispersion metal matrix with small particles, such as Aluminum–Graphite (Al–Gr) composites. The elasto-plastic response composites has not been fully understood. Hence, in this paper a numerical analysis structural Al–Gr presented. FEM models based on unit cells are proposed considering two different Al/Gr interface conditions: (1) strongly bonded and (2) friction–sliding interface. results from simulation elastic region evaluated terms effective modulus compared existing theoretical models. On other hand, plastic experimental data obtained compression tests, that rule mixtures. have shown models, conventional continuum theory, mixtures, capable predict accuracy behavior composite. Therefore, new empirical model instead, which results. After calibration process limited set input, high predicting composite for volume fraction reinforcing particles.
