摘要: Abstract An elderly woman with a massive intra-abdominal fibrosarcoma was noted to have intermittent hypoglycemia . When present, the associated diminished levels of free fatty acids and ketone bodies an increase in plasma NSILP Lesser elevations were observed on two three occasions when patient normoglycemic. Insulin, somatomedin-C NSILA-s always low. Plasma glucagon increased appropriately response hypoglycemia; however, occasions, glucose intravenously administered blunted. Low amino detected at all times; concentration alanine , major gluconeogenic acid, particularly low still further during several fasts which became hypoglycemic. Exogenous caused modest glucose. Thus, hypoalaninemia, inhibition lipolysis impaired responsiveness glucagon. To our knowledge, this is first report tumor-induced NSILP.
