摘要: Sensory neuron development and differentiation is dependent on a family of growth factors known as neurotrophins. Neurotrophins modulate via trk tyrosine kinase receptor proteins trkA, trkB trkC. To determine how elevated levels target-derived neurotrophin might affect neuronal differentiation, we analysed expression in the trigeminal ganglion transgenic mice that overexpressed nerve factor (NGF) skin. Increased NGF caused five-fold increase neurons expressing trkA mRNA two-fold In control mice, cell size distributions subpopulations each showed three distributed over narrow, overlapping range. contrast, distribution NGF-transgenic was significantly divergent due large part to hypertrophy and, lesser extent, trkC neurons. addition, examined bound isolectin B4 from Bandeiraea simplicifolia (BS-IB4) because most these do not express any adult. There significant BS-IB4-positive mice; however, there no their number. These studies indicate an increased level affects sensory adult or trkC, well receptors.
