Public Conservation Land and Employment Growth in the Northern Forest Region

摘要: We quantify the effect that public conservation lands have on employment growth in Northern Forest region of United States. A model simultaneous and net migration is estimated with data non-metropolitan counties from 1990 to 1997. Exogenous variables include share land base uses. find rates were higher more lands, but effects are relatively small. No significant detected. As well, measuring changes timber harvests no growth.
