摘要: Spatial information is one of the most commonly used items for rail maintenance workers and providing this to track while mobile offers potential advantages in terms efficiency communication accuracy. However, displaying diagrams other rail-specific spatial on small screen a handheld computer presents several human interaction challenges that need be considered. Three experiments were conducted investigate different aspects presenting computers. These with current job holders at their place work. The first experiment aimed investigating differences between computers compared paper-based documents. Using combination qualitative quantitative methods, findings demonstrate provide more efficient effective means information. second discover optimum amount can presented device. results although combinations length affect user's performance, structure displayed also very important. third identified type did not have an effect postexperiment interviews revealed importance depending task they perform. implications design representations future devices.
