Gender as a Moderator of the Relation Between Age Cohort and Three-Dimensional Wisdom in Iranian Culture.

摘要: This study examined whether gender moderated the association between age cohort and cognitive, reflective, compassionate dimensions of wisdom, using an Iranian sample 439 adults from three cohorts: young (18-34), middle-aged (35-54), older (55 above). Results indicated that interaction effect was significant for three-dimensional wisdom all dimensions. Compared with younger women men, tended to have less education score lower on cognitive dimension, but they had similar average scores as men dimension. Overall, only positive due mainly relation reflective after adjusting education. The results are interpreted reference generation gaps, socialization versus women, life experiences opportunities.
