摘要: Background and purpose: The present study was performed to investigate the association between consanguineous marriages divorce risk. Materials methods: A total of 496 couples at time 800 from general population who have no plan for (as control group) were included in study. Results : Compared unrelated marriages, first cousin (OR= 0.39, 95% CI: 0.27–0.56, P < 0.001), once removed (OR =0.18, 0.05–0.62, = 0.006) second 0.37, 0.17–0.78, =0.009) decreased risk divorce. Cox proportional hazards regression analysis revealed that survival marriage lower significantly than after adjusted educational level (HR 0.48, 0.35–0.67, <0.001). Conclusion: findings indicate consanguinity has some protective role(s) against also increased among marriages. Considering rate is affected by several factors, replication other populations recommended. Keywords Consanguinity;Divorce; Survival
