摘要: Purpose The aim of the study is to obtain more insight into possible association between consanguinity and incidence deliberate self-burning. Methods Data were obtained by analysis medical records patients hospitalized in two referral burn centers: Chormy Burn Center (Bushehr Province, south Iran) from March 21, 1998, through 20, 2004, Shahid Sadoqi Burns Injuries (Yazd center 2000, 2004. Results suicidal burns was 6.51 2.32/100,000 person-years for Bushehr Yazd Provinces, respectively. observed sex ratio both centers indicated there a female predominance with self-inflicted burns. Using patients' home addresses, sorted 16 cities. suicide self-burning ranged 0.80 (for Tabas, located Province) 12.60/100,000 Dilam, Province). coefficient inbreeding defines probability that an individual received alleles pair identical ancestral source. There significant correlation incidences mean (r = 0.782, df 14, p Conclusion In addition other factors, consanguineous marriage may be risk factor influences population.
