摘要: A bacterium capable of degrading poly(hydroxyalkanoates) (PHA) was isolated from sea water and identified as Comamonas testosteroni. The strain C. testosteroni excreted an extracellular PHA depolymerase grew on poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) [P(3HB)] a sole carbon source. purified the culture medium to electrophoretic homogeneity by hydrophobic column chromatography, its molecular weight determined be about 50 000 polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis in presence sodium dodecyl sulphate. optimum activity P(3HB) observed alkaline region between pH 9·5 10·0. enzymatic degradation microbial copolyesters studied loss (erosion) solution-cast films poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-4-hydroxybutyrate). had very high hydrophobicity adhere surface polyesters.
