摘要: Flap coverage is essential for successful treatment of pressure sores, and musculocutaneous flaps have been preferred universally. Development perforator supplied by perforators has allowed reconstructive surgeons to harvest without including muscles. Perforator enhanced the possibility donor sites because a flap can be any perforator, donor-site morbidity also reduced. Between November 1998 June 2002, authors used 35 gluteal in 32 consecutive patients sores located at sacral (n = 22), ischial 7), trochanteric 6) regions. The mean age was 53.1 years (range, 5 87 years), there were 16 male female patients. All this series arteries arising from Patients followed up period 13.6 months. Wound dehiscence observed two treated secondary closure. Three died during follow-up period. survived except one that had undergone total necrosis, only recurrence noted Gluteal are safe reliable options different locations. Freedom design low make an excellent choice sore coverage.
