Effects of decreased adrenal corticosteroids: Changes in sleep in normal subjects and patients with adrenal cortical insufficiency

摘要: Abstract The effects of decreased adrenal cortical steroids on sleep were investigated during 6 studies in four patients with insufficiency before and after withdrawal hormonal replacement therapy for 5 days five normal male volunteers administration metyrapone. In both groups, Delta Sleep (Stages III IV) % (the proportion total spent Delta) rose following reduction steroids.
