摘要: Bone marrow infarction was investigated by 99mTc-sulfur colloid imaging in 42 patients with sickle cell anemia (SS) over a period of 2 yr. Marrow defects were demonstrated 28 (66.6%), and 15 (aged 19--52 yr), they matched roentgenographic evidence medullary bone infarction. Repeated images showed no change the size or site these defects. Among 13 6--32 all crisis when initially examined, not associated changes, many cases, repeated resolution decrease 3--6 mo, even if limb had been swollen defect large. 14 18--36 asymptomatic at time study, found. Comparison hematologic variables revealed higher mean hemoglobin hematocrit level among those infarcts (p less than 0.0001). High levels HbF, presence alpha-thalassemia, did protect against Pulmonary fat embolism observed. considered to provide more useful information initial management pain swelling either roentgenographs conventional 99mTc-methyldiphosphate images.
