摘要: Abstract Antifibrinolytic agents when released into the uterine cavity decrease menorrhagia associated with IUD use. Our objective was to develop a matrix that could be incorporated onto an and release anti-fibrinolytic agents. The copolymer ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) selected for detailed study because it has advantage over other materials in can large molecular weight substances more than 100 days, allows incorporation of amounts different weights. Two compounds, tranexamic acid (AMCA, MW = 157) Trasylol (Kunitz pancreatic trypsin inhibitor, 6,500) were EVA their rates measured. In vitro studies AMCA showed after initial burst, constant high rate obtained prolonged period time. utero from rabbits similar . By contrast, decreased low levels during incubation however, appeared higher
