摘要: Abstract OBJECTIVE: To determine whether the mortality rate of patients with a history Kawasaki disease is higher than that general population. DESIGN: In cohort study, 6585 were observed from first medical encounter because through end 1992, or until death. Standardized ratios (SMRs) 95% confidence intervals (CI) calculated vital statistics data Japan for control. RESULTS: Of who met eligibility criteria, 6550 (99.5%) followed either study date Nineteen (14 male subjects) died during period; an overall SMR 1.56 (95% CI, 0.94 to 2.43) was entire period. The 1.78 0.97 2.99) subjects and 1.16 0.38 2.71) female subjects. During acute phase (the 2 months after onset), higher, particularly in (SMR, 10.12; 3.72 22.07). After phase, however, both boys girls had low SMRs. Nine 19 deaths caused by disease; there as result congenital anomalies circulatory system malignant neoplasms lymphatic hematopoietic tissues. CONCLUSIONS: Although among those elevated Japan, many elevation occurred disease. not increased (J PEDIATR 1996;128:75-81)
