摘要: The exploration geochemist faces a serious problem in reconciling theoretical statistics with the empirical distribution of elements materials earth's crust. results computer-simulation experiments being conducted by Exploration Geochemistry Group at University New Brunswick illustrate some problems relation between frequency distributions and spatial raise interesting questions about sampling patterns physical size samples. Most importantly, simulation examples support contention that attempts to make an assumption normality more efficient performing log transformations on positively skewed data may defeat purpose statistical analysis for work. developments computer-data presentation interpretation, including population sorting classification, increasing use computer geochemistry.
