摘要: Abstract A rock geochemistry orientation survey in Cyprus showed that anomalous dispersion patterns for Cu, Zn, Ni, and Co could be reliably measured pillow lavas a maximum distance of only 20 m from sulphide deposit. Frequency distributions the elements systematic (though small) differences between background areas groups samples traverses extending more than 2 km mineralization. It is concluded variation concentration individual alone inadequate as basis an exploration procedure. very successful technique using combined inter-variation all was developed these unpromising data. Two interpretative methods are described - computer calculation characteristic discriminant functions each several pre-determined (e.g., background) graphical derivation what termed “determinative functions” which allows classification or anomalous. Both techniques allow recognition zone mineralization; either may useful regions weak anomalies.
