摘要: Abstract The aim of the study was to investigate mass distribution trace elements in aerosol samples collected urban area Goteborg, Sweden, with special focus on impact different air masses and anthropogenic activities. Three measurement campaigns were conducted during December 2006 January 2007. A PIXE cascade impactor used collect particulate matter 9 size fractions ranging from 16 0.06 µm aerodynamic diameter. Polished quartz carriers chosen as collection substrates for subsequent direct analysis by TXRF. To sources analyzed masses, backward trajectories calculated. Our results showed that diurnal sampling sufficient Br, Ca, Cl, Cu, Fe, K, Sr Zn, whereas a 5-day period resulted additional information Cr S. Unimodal distributions found Fe Cr, Ni S bimodal, indicating high temperature processes source submicron particle components. including New Year firework activities both an extensive increase concentrations well shift range K Sr, are typically fireworks. Further research is required validate quantification directly sample carriers.
