摘要: Objective: To determine whether the level of physical activity in daily life (PADL) is associated with pulmonary function adult smokers. Methods: We selected 62 smokers from among participants an epidemiological study conducted city Santos, Brazil. The subjects underwent forced spirometry for assessment. PADL was assessed by International Physical Activity Questionnaire and triaxial accelerometry, device being used seven days. minimum PADL, terms quantity intensity, defined as 150 min/week moderate to vigorous activity. Correlations between studied variables were tested Pearson's or Spearman's correlation coefficient, depending on distribution variables. linear multiple regression order analyze influence spirometric significance set at 5%. Results: Evaluating all predictors, corrected confounding factors, using data outcome variables, we found no significant associations inactivity, determined indices. values FVC lower arterial hypertension, FEV1/FVC ratios those diabetes mellitus. Obese dyslipidemia presented FEV1. Conclusions: Our results suggest that there consistent association inactivity Smoking history should be given special attention COPD prevention strategies, cardiovascular metabolic comorbidities.
