摘要: Several lines of evidence suggest that the striatum has an important role in spatial working memory. The neural dynamics have been described tasks with short delay periods (1–4 s), but remain largely uncharacterized for longer periods. We collected and analyzed single unit recordings from dorsomedial rats performing a memory task delays up to 10 s. found neurons were activated sequentially, sequences spanning entire period. Surprisingly, this sequential activity was dissociated stimulus encoding activity, which present same neurons, preferentially appeared towards onset These observations contrast descriptions during similar other brains areas, clarify contribution
