摘要: Abstract Biological criteria were developed to assess water quality in mesohaline and polyhaline estuarine waters North Carolina. The used a combination of three metrics: new `Hilsenhoff-type' biotic index incorporating the sensitivity pollution each taxon its relative abundance, total number taxa, amphipod caridean shrimp taxa. Agreement with an independent data set was 90%, as within site repeatability this biocriteria over range qualities salinities. versatility is discussed other sampling methods parts world.
