摘要: A brook trout population in a stable stream environment was studied for 14 years. Population estimates were made each September, the catch of fish by anglers recorded, and collections to determine sex ratio, age at sexual maturity, fecundity. The ratio close 1:1 all age-groups. Some male sexually mature end 1st year life, most 2nd year, 3rd. No females their 2nd, 3rd life. The regression egg content on total length female determined. On average 132,000 eggs produced annually study area, from which 4813 survived year; 1966 2nd; 356 3rd; 29 4th; 0.6 5th year. The growth rate varied little during period study.
