摘要: During the past two decades, a growing interest surrounding interaction between microbe-associated molecular patterns (MAMPs) and pattern recognition receptors has occurred. This attention is now driven alongside bacterial-derived metabolites, which impact immune cell differentiation function. Hence, this review introduces term meta-MAMP as means to classify microbial derived-metabolites, influence response by affecting specific cellular processes. We discuss prominent examples of meta-MAMPs: first, rapamycin (isolated from Streptomyces), was discovered in 1970s since then been thoroughly studied. The second, soraphen A Myxobacteria), early 1990s but only recently identified promising immunomodulator. Both meta-MAMPs are similar their remarkable capacity modulate T fate targeting key metabolic pathways triggered upon activation. In context, we highlight progress made field immunometabolism possibility modulating such fatty acid metabolism strategy for immunomodulation. focus on use metabolites auspicious agents modulation.
