Radiation oncology: physics advances that minimize morbidity

摘要: Radiation therapy has become an ever more successful treatment for many cancer patients. This is due in large part from advances physics including the expanded use of imaging protocols combined with precise devices such as linear and particle beam accelerators, all contributing to treatments far fewer side effects. paper will review current state-of-the-art maneuvers that minimize morbidity, intensity-modulated radiation therapy, volummetric arc image-guided radiation, radiosurgery treatment. We also highlight future enhancements on horizon MRI during hadron continued goal improved clinical outcomes.
