摘要: The methods by which radiation treatment has been administered since the original discoveries concerning properties of ionising are reviewed on a historical basis. criteria, together with their limitations, that have influenced empirical approach to fractionation in radiotherapy identified and critically assessed. necessity for classifying into component parts, so as avoid confusion, such time, dose fractions factors is stressed, correct evaluation complex biological consequences physical events. different mechanisms, varying inter-relationships, responsible acute late normal tissue damage considered shown not relate solely time factor. Reports from literature used illustrate these points.
