摘要: Abstract Different from any other catalytic systems containing transition metals and additives, sodium hydroxide itself was found to be a unique effective catalyst for the solvent-free synthesis of secondary amines via N-alkylation with alcohols. For reaction aniline benzyl alcohol, 99.6 mol% conversion 99.5% selectivity product were achieved under optimal conditions. Also, high could acquired N-alkylations various alcohols, implying universality this methodology. Mechanistic studies revealed that novel most possibly proceeds base-catalyzed mechanism.
