Since must necessarily involve stimulation nipple, it seemed interest know what sensory apparatus present in nipple receive these stimuli. While histological studies mammary gland itself have numerous, only slight attention paid structure areola nipple. be appreciated outset study devoted innervation quiescent breast. There may considerable change during pregnancy lactation, not size organ its epithelium but also other structures. shown there an increase number nerve-fibres actively secreting tissue, possible nerve-structures also. The richness certainly makes a further lactation great interest.
