摘要: Objective: Numerous surveys have reported associations between major depressive episodes (MDEs) and occupational status, but cross-sectional studies cannot quantify the risks of employment transitions nor clarify their temporal direction. The goal our study was to estimate impact MDE on subsequent status in a longitudinal community cohort. Methods: Data from National Population Health Survey (NPHS) were used. Proportional hazard models logistic regression employed evaluate effect working during 1994 2004 interval among respondents who at job or business baseline. Results: associated with an increased risk movement nonworking status. People aged 26 45 years MDEs more than double this transition (HR = 2.6; 95% CI 1.8 3.6, P Conclusions: is elevated especially people years. Can J Psychiatry. 2009;54(12):841-845.
