摘要: CD95 is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor family. It constitutively expressed on basolateral membrane intestinal epithelial cells (IEC) and induces apoptosis when cross-linked by its natural ligand, CD95L. The significance providing such death-inducing mechanism in IEC not yet clear. In recent years multitude studies have been published addressing question where under which conditions CD95L produced gut normal neoplastic situation. Although some these considerably influenced our view role CD95/CD95L system, it appears necessary to critically review data are part confusing contradictory. To date compelling evidence expression untransformed lacking, involvement system physiological cell turnover unlikely. Whereas overexpressed T-cells inflammatory conditions, for mucosal damage bowel diseases obscured possible redundancies death mechanisms. Finally, indicate that intriguing counterattack concept gastrointestinal tract cancer needs be revised.
