摘要: In Korea, chestnut production is increasing each year, but consumption far below production. We investigated the effect of extracts on antioxidant activity and anticancer effects. Ethanol raw (RCE) or powder (CPE) had dose-dependent superoxide scavenging activity. Viable numbers MDA-MD-231 human breast cancer cells, DU145 prostate AGS gastric cells decreased by 18, 31, 69%, respectively, following treatment with 200 μg/mL CPE for 24 hr. at various concentrations (0-200 μg/mL) markedly cell viability increased apoptotic death dose time dependently. levels cleaved caspase-8, -7, -3, poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase in a manner not caspase-9. exerted no effects Bcl-2 Bax levels. The level X-linked inhibitor apoptosis protein within narrow range treatment. Trail, DR4, Fas-L dose-dependently CPE-treated cells. These results show that decreases growth induces activation receptor pathway contributes to CPE-induced conclusion, more an than suggesting chestnuts would have positive against cancer.
