摘要: Resolving challenges related to the sustainability of natural capital and ecosystem services is an urgent issue. No roadmap on reaching exists; kind sustainable land use required in a world that acknowledges both multiple environmental boundaries local human well-being presents quandary. In this commentary, we argue new globally consistent expandable systems-analytical framework needed guide facilitate decision making from planetary level, vice versa. This would strive link multitude Earth system processes targets; it give preference systemic insight over data complexity through being highly explicit spatiotemporal terms. Its strength lie its ability help scientists uncover explore potential, even unexpected, interactions between Earth's subsystems with socioeconomic constraints coming into play. Equally importantly, such allow countries as Brazil, case study understand domestic or measures within global perspective optimize them accordingly.
