摘要: Molecular testing in anatomic pathology is becoming increasingly important for most organ systems, including the lung. Such tests are used both diagnostically and prognostically particularly workup of neoplasia identification or subclassification certain infectious processes. Fresh frozen tissues always considered to be optimal source DNA RNA that serves as template targeted molecular analysis. However, archival paraffin-embedded tissue an attractive alternative clinical testing. Paraffin-embedded can a critical nucleic acid when unexpected diagnoses rendered pathologic evaluation material. It also, however, provides advantage allowing analysis with correlation outcome.
