摘要: Proteomics will drive biology and medicine beyond genomics, can have a profound impact on molecular diagnostics. The posttranslational modifications of cellular proteins that govern physiology become deranged in disease cannot be accurately portrayed by gene expression alone. Consequently, new technology is being developed to discover, quantitatively monitor, proteomic changes are associated with etiology progression. In the past, technologies were restricted tumor cell lines or homogenized bulk tissue specimens. This source material may not reflect events taking place specific cells itself. article describes completely class proteomic-based approaches aimed at identification investigation protein markers actual histologically defined populations immersed heterogeneous diseased tissue. It envisioned these investigations eventually lead novel diagnostic, prognostic, therapeutic applied monitor toxicity efficacy.
