Pharmacogenetic Testing in Psychiatry: A Review of Features and Clinical Realities

摘要: This article focuses on the first generation of pharmacogenetic tests that are potentially useful in psychiatry. All currently market, or soon to be marketed psychiatry, for which some information has been published peer-reviewed journal articles (or abstracts), were selected. Five reviewed detail: Roche AmpliChip CYP450 Test, Luminex Tag-It Mutation Detection Kit, LGC clozapine response test, PGxPredict: Clozapine and Genomas PhyzioType system. After reviewing these tests, three practical aspects implementing testing psychiatric clinical practice briefly reviewed: (1) evaluation practice, (2) cost-effectiveness, (3) regulatory oversight. Finally, future other psychiatry is discussed.
