摘要: Eighteen patients with Parkinson's disease were treated placebo for 4 weeks and the MAO-B inhibitor selegiline 8 without levodopa in a randomized double-blind clinical study. The maximum dose of was 30 mg/day patients' cognitive functions evaluated before treatment at week 12 when they either on mg or placebo. A series neuropsychological tests used to study general reasoning, memory, visuospatial abilities, attention, flexibility, motor depression. Specific effects not observed. Slight improvement occurred mainly learning (easy word associations) which may reflect limited, nonspecific arousal effect.
