摘要: Abstract The paper examines the extent to which consumers' willingness-to-pay for energy-efficient room air conditioners may be altered by correcting information inefficiency on China Energy Label. data are collected from a discrete choice experiment with two alternatives (variable-speed and constant-speed conditioners) characterized attributes of brand, purchase price energy grade. Three versions questionnaires sets differing only in consumption indicators were distributed randomly 1602 potential consumers Nanjing, sample 1569 was obtained after dropping missing data. analysis multinomial mixed logit models reveal that premium willing pay variable-speed AC over increases significantly when becomes comparable additional energy-related is provided. Furthermore, impact WTP varies under different energy-saving scenarios. It suggested Label should correct adopting same ACs technologies providing based climate zones.
